A network security device and a method thereof are provided to control access authority of an internal user terminal as well as an external user terminal, and perform a predetermined policy in case that control of an instruction inputted from the user terminal is related to network equipment as well as a server. An access control processor(401) authenticates access of the user terminal to the network equipment and the server. An instruction processor(403) performs a response corresponding to a preset session policy for an unauthorized instruction by checking authorization of the instructions inputted from the user terminal. A monitoring processor(404) monitors an access and/or use record of the currently accessed user terminal. An encoder(402) blocks information leakage to the outside by encoding communication between the user terminal and the network security device(400). A storing part(405) stores work contents/results of the accessed user terminal as a log. A session manager(406) manages a session set to the user terminal according to the set session policy.
