<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular headlight in which the dimension in the right and left directions can be made compact especially. <P>SOLUTION: A left-and-right side first sub-reflectors 6L, 6R are installed on the left and right sides at the lower side of a discharge lamp 3, and right-and left side second sub-reflectors 7R, 7L are installed on the right and left sides of a projection lens in the front view. Based on an elliptical face where first focuses F11L, F11R are positioned at a first focus F1 of the main reflecting face 9, and second focuses F12L, F12R are positioned at the right and left sides on the lower side than the discharge lamp 3, left-and-right side first sub-reflectors F16L, F16R are installed at the left-and-right side first sub-reflectors 6L, 6R.
