<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To release N idle control even if failure occurs in a brake switch to start a vehicle equipped with an automatic transmission for performing N idle control for reducing rotational speed of an engine down to a value at idling time when the vehicle stops. <P>SOLUTION: This controller is provided with the automatic transmission 3 for shifting gear for rotation of a power source at a predetermined change gear ratio to output to driving wheels 9, 10, a start friction element arranged between the power source 1 and an input side of a gear shift mechanism, and the brake switch 32. In this vehicle equipped with the automatic transmission for controlling rotational speed of the power source to rotational speed at idling time even if the automatic transmission is in a running range when the brake switch is in an on condition during stop of the vehicle, the control for regarding that the brake switch is in an on condition when the power source starts and setting rotational speed of the power source to rotational speed at idling time is inhibited. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
