<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting apparatus having improved productivity capable of selectively causing a plurality of arranged light-emitting elements to emit a light with the small number of signal transmission paths as much as possible without complicating the structure of the apparatus, and arranging the light-emitting elements in a row when the plurality of elements are juxtaposed and used, and to provide an image forming apparatus provided with the same. <P>SOLUTION: In response to a scanning signal ϕ, each of switch elements T provides a trigger signal to a gate 19 of each corresponding light-emitting element L, and the light-emitting element L emits a light by providing the trigger signal to the gate 19 and providing a light-emitting signal ϕ having a voltage larger than a threshold voltage or a current larger than a threshold current.
