PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting element that uses a light-emitting material of high emission efficiency and stability, and that is low in cost. SOLUTION: A mononuclear copper coordination compound having a partial structure, shown by general Formula (1), is used as the light-emitting material. Here, PR<SB>1</SB>R<SB>2</SB>APR<SB>1</SB>'R<SB>2</SB>' is a phosphine ligand with two positions. R<SB>1</SB>, R<SB>2</SB>, R<SB>1</SB>', and R<SB>2</SB>' are hydrogen, an alkyl group, an alkoxy group, an aromatic ring group, an aryloxy group, and a heterocyclic ring group. L<SB>1</SB>and L<SB>2</SB>are ligands, in which an element selected from among carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, phosphorous, sulfur, and a halogen is made as a coordinating atom.
