PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite operation type input device which can attain a lateral miniaturization. SOLUTION: The composite operation type input device includes a pushing knob 29 supported as compressively operable by the top surface of an upper knob 28, a circuit substrate 35 arranged oppositely to the rear face side of this pushing knob 29, a push switch 37 mounted in the front surface of this circuit substrate 35, a rotary ring 27 supported rotatably between a lower knob 26 and an upper knob 28, a code plate 33 interlocked with this rotary ring 27 and rotating, and a photo interrupter 36 mounted in the rear surface side of the substrate 35. While a push switch 37 is operated by the pushing operation of the pushing knob 29. The photo interrupter 36 mounted in the rear surface side of the circuit substrate 35 is operated by rotating the code disk 33 with the rotating operation of the rotary ring 27. In that case, the rotary force of the rotary ring 27 is made to be transmitted to the code disk 33 arranged at the rear surface side of the circuit substrate 35 by coupling and arranging the rotary ring 27 from the front surface side to the rear surface side of the circuit substrate 35.
