PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spark plug, in which the bending and eccentricity of a connecting terminal to be fixed in an axial hole of an insulating insulator and twistings and deterioration in coaxiality can be prevented. SOLUTION: A protruding part 45, which protrudes from an outer peripheral face, is formed in the intermediate trunk part 43 of the connecting terminal 40 of the spark plug. The protruding part 45 is installed successively, starting from the rear end side to the tip side of the intermediate trunk part 43, and prevents twist of the intermediate trunk part 43. Moreover, when the connecting terminal 40 is assembled to the insulating insulator, because the protruding part 45 is arranged between the inner peripheral face of the axial hole of the insulating insulator and the outer peripheral face of the intermediate trunk part 43, clearance is installed between both, thereby assembling is facilitated; and moreover, destruction of the insulating insulator due to thermal expansion of the intermediate trunk part is prevented. Furthermore, the axial line position of the connecting terminal 40 is corrected in the axial hole by the protruding part 45, and bending and eccentricity are prevented. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
