PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of an organic EL display device, capable of surely carrying out patterning on a comparatively large area with the use of a letterpress reverse printing method. SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method of the organic EL display device, a mask made in a given patterning is placed on a substrate by a letterpress reverse printing method, on which a blanket with a uniform functional film coated is pressed, and through an opening of the mask, the functional film on the blanket is formed on the substrate.
