PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic switch 1 capable of preventing a plunger from being operating unnecessarily, when voltage is erroneously applied to a switch terminal bolt 11, before mounting it to a vehicle. SOLUTION: An electrically connecting plate 24 for electrically connecting a switch terminal 22 wired to a switch coil with the switch terminal bolt 11 is mounted to a switch cover 12. The electrically connecting plate 24 allows a shaft part 11b of the switch terminal bolt 11 to be inserted into a mounting hole formed on the other end side of the electrically conducting plate 24 without contacting it, by inserting an insertion part 24a on one end side thereof into a slit-like slot formed in the switch cover 12 and is supported with the other end side thereof lifted from a seating surface 11c of the switch terminal bolt 11. Thereby, the electromagnetic switch 1 will not unnecessarily operate, even if a voltage is erroneously applied to the switch terminal bolt 11, before mounting it on a vehicle.
