PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the time for output transfer of data, and to prevent setting of data in a register of a different bank in regard to a data processor and a data processing method processing serial format data transferred from a processor in one chip, and sending it to another chip. SOLUTION: A data output processing part 4 processing the serial format data transferred from a single or a plurality of processors 2-1 to 2-n is provided with a second serial data holding means 5 for temporarily holding second serial data for address setting of a bank transferred from the processor, and a second serial data comparing means 6 for comparing a set value of presently held present second serial data with a set value of proximately held proximate second serial data. It is composed such that when it is confirmed that the two set values are the same, the present second serial data is not outputted, and only present first serial data for register setting is outputted.
