PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid catalyst component for olefin polymerization requiring no fusion and kneading process demanding a large amount of energy consumption or an alternative addition process by the effective addition of a small amount of an antioxidant, a catalyst for olefin polymerization and a process for production of a polyolefin using the catalyst. SOLUTION: The solid catalytic component for olefin polymerization is composed of (a) a metallocene compound of a group 4-6 transition metal in the periodic table, (b) a solid carrier, (c) (c-1) an organometallic compound, (c-2) an organoaluminumoxy compound and (c-3) at least one compound selected from the group consisting of compounds forming an ion pair by the reaction with a group 4-6 transition metal in the periodic table, and (d) the antioxidant, and a catalyst for olefin polymerization and a process for the production of a polyolefin are also provided.
