PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for fastening a rivet and a method for manufacturing an antenna by which cost is reduced by shortening the fastening time without causing metallic burrs and refuses and the antenna having good characteristics can be manufactured. SOLUTION: In the method for fastening the rivet 6 to an article 1 to be fastened by using a stem 2, an anvil 3 arranged oppositely to the stem and a pilot pin 5 slid along the anvil, the lower end surface of the rivet is made away from the upper end surface of the anvil at the fastening time.
