<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically prohibit a telephone conversation or communication using a mobile phone in a telephone conversation or in a communication prohibited area. <P>SOLUTION: When communication prohibition information is received, an automatic answering mode is set and a telephone is turned into a sleep state. When there is no communication prohibition information any more, the telephone is turned into an active state and a silent mode and the automatic answering mode are canceled. Furthermore, when a telephone conversation prohibiting signal is received, the silent mode and the automatic answering mode are automatically set and the telephone is kept in the active state.
