<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sucking device for a surface material which can be widely used and has a long service life. <P>SOLUTION: The sucking device for a surface material, particularly a paper sheet for a paper sheet processing machine, favorably a paper sheet printing machine, is provided with at least one sucking band endlessly circulating and having a sucking opening for sucking the sucking material.
