PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of rush current at a start. SOLUTION: The boosting drive circuit generates boosting voltage higher than power supply voltage on the secondary winding side of a transformer having a primary winding, an auxiliary winding and the secondary winding each applied with the power supply voltage. The boosting drive circuit includes: a switching transistor which is connected in series to the primary winding and operates on the basis of the voltage occurring in the auxiliary winding; and a time-constant circuit supplied with the power source voltage, wherein the output voltage of the time-constant circuit is applied to the auxiliary winding.
