PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor equipped with a structure that reduces cogging torque, in the axial gap type motor equipped with rotors at both sides of a stator. SOLUTION: The axial gap type motor is constituted such that: the stator comprises teeth that are wound with coils at their external peripheries, and a plurality of pole members that are connected in a ring shape; the rotor comprises a plurality of permanent magnets of the same shapes that are adjacent to one another with different polarities and arranged in a circumferential direction; and the permanent magnets that oppose each other are arranged so as to be displaced from each other at only prescribed mechanical angles in the circumferential direction. The prescribed mechanical angle is made to correspond to a phase difference angle at each cycle of the cogging torque generated at the two rotors that varies in a range of 72°to 324°, or in a range of -324°to -72°.
