PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high power factor control method of a converter in which high power factor control can be achieved. SOLUTION: In the high power factor control method of a converter for generating a voltage by multiplying a conduction current and its 90°phase lag component by a circuit impedance, the 90°phase lag component of the conduction current is determined by the approximate expression of the conduction current obtained by multiplying the product of angular frequencyωand sampling time T by a trigonometric function.
