摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely move a robot even when any transmission delay is generated between a robot and a remote operator side. SOLUTION: This mobile robot is configured to move to a direction instructed by a remote operation by a moving means, and provided with a detection part for detecting at least an obstacle ahead of the moving direction, an obstacle deciding part for calculating a distance to the obstacle detected by the detection part, a communication part for receiving the moving direction from a monitor center, and a speed calculation part for calculating a moving speed at which the mobile robot is able to stop before coming into contact with the obstacle based on the distance to the obstacle.
