PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple apparatus for a negative pressure test which can reduce the pressure around a test piece to be observe even with a small-sized, simple structure. SOLUTION: The simple apparatus 10 for a negative pressure test comprises a transparent case 1 which has an opening 11 at the lower end and in which the test piece W1 can be stored, a support 2 which can support the test piece (a sealant W1) and the lower end of the transparent case 1, a sealant 3 for holding the airtightness between the perimeter of the opening 11 of the transparent case 1 and the support 2 with the transparent case 1 supported by the support 2, a negative pressure generation means 4 for discharging air from the inside of the transparent case 1, and an internal pressure adjustment means for adjusting internal pressure to a desired value. For the test piece, anything, which visually changes its shape or condition from when placed under atmospheric pressure to when placed under a pressure less than atmospheric pressure, can be used.
