Disclosed are an adhesion-imparting agent applicable to various adhesions and an adhesion-imparting resin emulsion applicable to various aqueous adhesions, each of which is a raw material for an adhesion exhibiting good adhesion properties (particularly holding power) to any type of member. An adhesion-imparting agent or adhesion-imparting resin emulsion comprising a rosin resin having a ratio of the content of a component or components having molecular weight of 300 or less in the rosin resin to a softening point of the rosin resin (content of component(s) having molecular weight of 300 or less (wt%)/softening point (K)) of 0.004 or lower; and an adhesion composition comprising the adhesion-imparting agent; and an aqueous adhesion composition comprising the adhesion-imparting resin emulsion.
