The device has two partial laser beam devices including four vertically polarized laser diodes (4) and horizontally polarized laser diodes (5), which are arranged on a common support (6). Vertical and horizontal reflectors (9, 10, 20, 21) reflect laser beams emitted from respective laser diodes around an angle of 90 degrees. The laser diodes in combination with the reflectors provide quadrate laser beams. A polarization cube (14) combines the quadrate laser beams to produce a laser beam (16).
