<p>The invention relates to the following [1] to [3] methods and a kit for carrying out the methods. [1] A method for detecting heart disease, characterized by assaying kappa-chains and/or lambda-chains of free immunoglobulin light chains in an analyte and comparing at least any one of a value of the kappa-chains, a value of the lambda-chains and a kappa/lambda ratio to a corresponding value of a normal subject. [2] A method for detecting complications of viral infection in heart disease, characterized by assaying kappa-chains and/or lambda-chains of free immunoglobulin light chains in an analyte and comparing at least any one of a value of the kappa-chains, a value of the lambda-chains and a kappa/lambda ratio to a corresponding value of a normal subject. [3] A method for detecting the severity of heart disease, characterized by assaying kappa-chains and/or lambda-chains of free immunoglobulin light chains in an analyte and comparing at least any one of a value of the kappa-chains, a value of the lambda-chains and a kappa/lambda ratio to a corresponding value of a normal subject or a patient with mild heart disease.</p> |
