<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a miniaturized optical monitor array in which optical cross-talk generated among adjoining optical fibers is suppressed by a simple method, and to provide a manufacturing method thereof. <P>SOLUTION: The optical monitor array in which a plurality of optical monitors are arranged for detecting a quantity of light propagating in the optical fiber is characterized in that the optical monitor detects, by using the optical monitors, the cross-talk light by leaking a part of the light propagating in the core of the optical fiber to the outside the optical fiber, and a shield body is provided among the adjoining optical fibers.
