<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a trend information report system and a trend information report method, capable of activating communications by providing the trend of state within a group consisting of selected members to a service receiver. <P>SOLUTION: When a media state monitoring part 21 detects change in state of media 10, a state issuing part 22 forms and outputs presence information to a presence service part 30. A presence information management part 31 receives and stores the presence information, and a presence list management part 32 manages a presence list including the presence information. When the presence list is updated, a determination part 41 determines, based on a determination rule stored by a rule holding part 42, whether the presence information is trend information or not.
