<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a measuring instrument for monitoring ability of a current measuring electrochemical sensor to be functioned properly. <P>SOLUTION: This method is provided with a step of receiving a perturbation amount by a sensor operated with voltage control in a prescribed polarization voltage, a step of checking a response disturbed by this manner, i.e. a measured signal or a measured value of an electrochemical battery, and of calculating a check value, using the response of the electrochemical battery under perturbation as an input for calculation, a step of indicating the polarization voltage set in the present now as the optimum polarization voltage, when the check value is smaller than a limit value depending on a device or equal thereto, and a step of changing the initial polarization voltage by a preliminarily specified voltage increment, when the check value is larger than the limit value depending on the device. The respective steps are repeated for the changed polarization voltage, until finding the optimum polarization voltage, that is, until the calculated check value gets smaller than the limit value depending on the device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
