PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording apparatus which can easily obtain an interchanging type waste ink absorbing body, and is miniaturized. SOLUTION: A printer 1 comprises a recording head 4 delivering an ink fed from a removable interchanging type ink tank 6, and a waste ink absorbing part 3 holding a sucked ink in a recovering system 2 comprising a pump 7 sucking forcibly the ink from the recording head 6. The waste ink absorbing part 3 is characterized by having a fixed type waste ink storing part 9 fixed to the printer 1, holding a removable interchanging type waste ink storing part 10, and the interchanging type waste ink storing part 10 being at least one used interchanging type ink tank 6.
