PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve pollution measure and securing of air-tightness of ingoing/outgoing end face of an optical fiber, in an optical device with a semiconductor laser and the optical fiber. SOLUTION: In the optical device which makes a laser beam emitted from a semiconductor laser incident to the optical fiber and makes the beam emit therefrom, the light incident side end of the optical fiber constitutes a semiconductor laser module part where the light emitted from the semiconductor laser is made incident to the optical fiber; the light outgoing end of the optical fiber forms an optical fiber array part arranging a singular or two or more number of optical fibers; the outgoing end of the optical fiber array part is air-tightly sealed with an array cap; and inside the array cap, an adsorbent having a function of adsorbing substances generated from the optical fiber array and the structure material of the array cap is provided.
