PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a turbine exhaust device and an alternation method thereof improving pressure recovery performance further by appropriately separating flow of large loss from exhaust gas coming out of a low guide and going toward a condenser. SOLUTION: This device is provided with an exhaust chamber inner casing 2 containing a turbine rotor 1, an exhaust chamber outer casing 5 forming an exhaust chamber 4 together with the exhaust chamber inner casing 2, the flow guide 6 forming an annular diffuser flow passage, and an exhaust chamber upper flow guide 40 which is a means separating annular band upper exhaust gas 30 flowing in a range including vertically upward flow in exhaust gas radially blowing out of the flow guide 6 to the exhaust chamber 4 from other exhaust gas 32 and leading the same to the condenser and of which exhaust gas lead in side end surface 41 is positioned above a horizontal surface 20 including a center axis 21 of the turbine rotor 1.
