PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection control device for an internal combustion engine capable of effectively preventing deterioration of exhaust emission while securing good startability at a time of start of the internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a combustion existence determination means determining whether injected fuel normally burns or not, a residual fuel quantity estimation means estimating residual fuel quantity remaining in a cylinder without burning out of fuel injection quantity injected in the cylinder for the cylinder in which the combustion existence determination means determines that fuel normally burns, and a fuel injection quantity correction means correcting fuel injection quantity of next injection based on residual fuel quantity estimated by the residual fuel quantity estimation means for the cylinder in which the combustion existence determination means does nit determine that fuel normally burns.
