<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus structure permitting safety detachment/attachment, without having to change attitude of a unit, or without releasing hand from a handle, and to provide an image forming apparatus that uses the same. <P>SOLUTION: When gripping a lever 19 of the handle 13, a lock mechanism 18 is moved, and an arm 15 operates. An interlock switch 20 mounted on the printer body side, is turned on by a filler 17. When the handle 13 is rotated, while gripping the lever 19, the filler 17 is rotated, the interlock switch 20 is turned off, and a current to a controller unit 2 is shut. When detachment of the controller unit 2 in a state in which the turning-off of the power supply of the printer body is forgotten is attempted, the power supply will be turned off by the action of the interlock switch 20, and the controller unit 2 can be detached safely. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
