<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide (1) an air filter having a large supported amount per unit volume of the ion exchange resin and a small pressure loss or an air filter having a large supported amount per unit volume of the ion exchange resin with the resin supported with a metal support, (2) a method of manufacturing an air filter capable of supporting an ion exchange resin even with a small-area opening of the ventilation cavity and (3) a slurry composition for the filter and the manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: The slurry composition contains a powder of an ion exchange resin and a powder of zeolite. The air filter is obtained by carrying out a coating or immersion treatment of a support for the air filter by the use of the slurry composition and drying the resultant body. Alternatively, the air filter is obtained by carrying out a coating or immersion treatment of a sheet-like fibrous support by the use of the slurry composition, drying the resultant body to obtain a sheet for the air filter and forming the sheet for air filter. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
