<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sorting system measuring and inspecting picked articles, with reduced degradation in inspection accuracy and improved work efficiency and reliability. <P>SOLUTION: The sorting system 1 measures the articles when collecting the articles according to sorting indication, and inspects the articles based on a measurement value, a unit weight of the article, and the indication number. A recording device 2a of a sorting server 2 records an average unit weight of the articles, a unit weight standard deviation, and the indication number. A sorting controller 3 determines whether or not inspection can be performed by the measurement, based on the average unit weight of the articles recorded by the prescribed recording device 2a, the standard deviation, and the indication number.
