A method for effectively displaying in a mobile terminal is provided to remove user inconvenience that characters of a document is too small to read due to a restriction in a size of a display unit. In a state that a document to be read is displayed on a display unit, it is checked whether a line display mode is selected(301,303,305,307). When the line display mode is selected, a part of the document from which display by lines will start is selected and the number of lines to be displayed at once is checked(309,311). The part from which display by lines will start and part determined by the number of lines to be displayed are displayed on the display unit(313).
