<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a fitting structure and a method capable of improving assembling workability of an airbag module. <P>SOLUTION: A fitting bolt 34 is provided so as to protrude from an inflator 26 and pierce even a module case 24. A pair of front/rear fitting pieces 30C and 30D extended from an airbag door 30 are overlapped at a pierced edge portion of the fitting bolt 34, so that the airbag 30 is tightened together with a bracket 54 of an instrument panel reinforcement 52.
