PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capacitor wherein its miniaturization is made possible, its joining force is extremely strong, and further, its sealing quality is excellent over a long term. SOLUTION: The capacitor 1 has a capacitor element 5 connected with lead terminals 4, a packaging case 2 having an opening for storing therethrough the capacitor element 5, and a sealing body 3 for deriving therefrom the lead terminals 4 to the external in a hermetic state, and also, its opening is so sealed adhesively by the sealing body 3 as to join the sealing body 3 to the packaging case 2, and further, irregular portions are formed on the contacting portion 2a of the packaging case 2 with the sealing body 3, and moreover, at least the vicinity of the contacting portion 2a of the packaging case 2 is constituted out of the absorbent material of a laser beam 20, and the sealing body 3 is constituted out of the transmitting material of the laser beam 20. Furthermore, the sealing body 3 so eats into the recesses of the contacting portion 2a by irradiating the laser beam 20 on the contacting portion 2a as to seal adhesively the opening by the sealing body 3.
