PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method of radio communication constituted so that communication setting data required for the radio communication from a connecting device to a connected device are preliminarily acquired by the connecting device in the case of starting connection by the radio communication. SOLUTION: When a computer 1 as the connecting device performs WLAN communication to a portable communication terminal 2 as the connected device, unique communication setting data such as an IP address of the portable communication terminal 2 is preliminarily acquired from the portable communication terminal 2 by RF communication between an RFID reader 12 and a transponder 22 and a WLAN communication part 13 starts connection of the WLAN communication to the portable communication terminal 2 based on the acquired communication setting data.
