PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic disk drive, wherein each member can be fitted to a base easily and precisely. SOLUTION: The magnetic disk drive is equipped with the base, a disk assembly which includes at least one magnetic disk and is rotatably mounted on the base, and an actuator assembly which includes at least one actuator respectively having a magnetic head and is swingably mounted on the base. A guide is formed on the base, wherein the guide guides an objective member to the target position which is an arrangement place of the objective member, from the initial placing position on the base of the objective member when mounting the objective member to be arranged on the base, and has a positioning section on which the objective member is abutted, at the target position.
