PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To retrieve a desired digital content using a content code by enabling understanding of a field the content belongs to from the content code. SOLUTION: This device comprises an input classification item input part (119) inputting classification items describing a term or a combination of terms which are selected from terms described in a classification glossary and combinations of the terms and assigned to a given content for a major classification item and a medium classification item. When a term described in the major classification item of the input classification items is most included in only one major item class of a standard classification in reference to standard classification codes, the given content is classified to the major item class. In other cases, a medium item class in the standard classification most including the term described in the major classification item of the input classification items is selected to classify the given content to a major item class the selected middle item class belongs to, and a standard classification code corresponding to the classified item is assigned thereto.
