PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote monitoring device capable of accurately and timely starting an alarming unit (smoke-generating unit) mounted on a monitored object from a monitoring center. SOLUTION: A display control section 810 displays a photographed image and relevant information of the monitoring zone on a display section 811, on the basis of invasion information received from the monitoring device 2. When the latest image is displayed on the display section 811 and a smoke-generating device 3, corresponding to the displayed image, is identified, a threatening start means is enabled. When the alarming start means is started by a monitoring person, the threatening start means 805 transmits a start signal for starting the smoke-generating device 3, corresponding to an image sensor 1 that supplies a display image to the monitoring device 2 via a main control device, by referring to a correspondence table of a memory means 807 and drives the corresponding smoke-generating device 3.
