PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intake device of an internal combustion engine capable of controlling a tumble flow over a wide range with a simple constitution. SOLUTION: This intake device of the internal combustion engine has a partition plate 4 arranged in the longitudinal direction in an intake pipe 3, and is formed by dividing the inside of the intake pipe into a first intake passage 5 and a second intake passage 6 by the partition plate; and has an opening-closing valve 10 turnably pivoted to an inner wall surface of the intake pipe on the upstream side of an intake flow by the partition plate 4. The opening-closing valve has a cutout 11 in a valve tip part. The opening-closing valve can turn up to a closing state 10C of closing the first and second intake passages via a half-opening state 10M of closing any one of the first and second intake passages from an opening state 10P of opening the first and second intake passages. The intake device controls strength of the tumble flow over a wide range with the simple constitution since the opening-closing valve turns around the inner wall surface of the intake pipe.
