PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating a water-granulated blastfurnace slag by which the agglomeration phenomenon of the whole of water-granulated blastfurnace slag is remarkably improved inexpensively, thus the variation in the quality of the water-granulated blastfurnace slag is suppressed, and further, the improvement of an operational environment can be realized. SOLUTION: The method comprises: a first stage where water-granulated blastfurnace slag 12 is subjected to grinding treatment, so as to obtain ground blastfurnace slag; and a second stage where the ground blastfurnace slag is charged inside a stirring vessel 15, either inorganic acid or mixed acid essentially consisting of inorganic acid and partially comprising organic acid is added thereto, so as to perform stirring mixing treatment, and alkali eluted from the ground blastfurnace slag is neutralized, thus the content of alkali is reduced.
