The invention relates to a method for slag granulation, whereby molten slag is converted to slag sand by water jets, the slag sand is drained in a draining plant (4) by drawing off coarse slag sand using at least one conveying screw (4a) that is mounted at an angle in a first sedimentation basin (4c) and feeding overflow water from the first sedimentation basin (4c) to a second sedimentation basin (5), and returning the overflow water to the slag granulation process. The invention also relates to a corresponding device.
