<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a measurement and find an evaluation value for effectively utilizing past accumulated data using the measurement results by the simplified measurement in a vascular sclerosis extent calculating apparatus and the like calculating the vascular sclerosis extent. <P>SOLUTION: This vascular sclerosis extent calculation apparatus is provided with a computing part finding a pulse wave propagation velocity PWV1 before a correction by a blood pressure between the heart and a knee (or an ankle) based on two pulse waves of the knee and an upper arm, and finding an evaluation value β, or a statistically same or approximate value to the pulse wave propagation velocity PWV2 of the aorta corrected by the blood pressure according to an equation, β=a×ä(PWV1+α)×P<SB>o</SB>/Pd+γ}+b using the pulse wave propagation velocity PWV1 and the diastolic blood pressure Pd. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
