<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lower an insertion force during connection without impairing sealability. <P>SOLUTION: A female side tapered surface 91b corresponding to a ring outer side tapered surface 10b is formed at the positions of the ring outer side tapered surface 10b and a sealed surface 91a corresponding to a backup ring 10 on the outer peripheral side of the backup ring 10. The inside taper angleαof male side tapered surface 81b/ring inner side tapered surface 10a and the outside taper angleβof ring outer side tapered surface 10b/female side tapered surface 91b are related to be inside taper angleα>(outside taper angleβ)>0°. Accordingly, since the outer peripheral side of the backup ring 10 is not so formed that its cylindrical faces are fitted to each other but so formed that the cylindrical faces are brought into contact with each other after being inserted, and also a final compression tolerance can be set with a push-in dimension after the insertion without inserting while reducing the compression tolerance from an initial stage.
