PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cordless power tool taking a lithium cell as a power source, putting the FET in the off state when the voltage of the lithium cell reaches a first predetermined value or less, and safely again rotating a motor when the cell voltage reaches a second predetermined value during the off state by inserting the TFT as a switching element in a current passage including the cell and the motor. SOLUTION: This cordless power tool includes: a DC motor for supplying a driving current from a battery cell through the switching element; a trigger switch for controlling the start and stop of the DC motor; a voltage detecting means for detecting the cell voltage of the battery cell; and a control means for on-off controlling the switching element on receiving a detection signal from the voltage detecting means, wherein the control means turns off the switching element when the battery voltage reaches a first predetermined voltage or less, and then turns on the switching element when the battery voltage reaches a second predetermined voltage after the trigger switch is turned off.
