PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the change of a spring constant in response to the traveling state of a vehicle. SOLUTION: This suspension device 100 is equipped with first and second cushioning devices 10<SB>1</SB>and 10<SB>2</SB>. The first and second cushioning devices 10<SB>1</SB>and 10<SB>2</SB>are equipped with first air chambers 1<SB>1</SB>and 1<SB>2</SB>and second air chambers 2<SB>1</SB>and 2<SB>2</SB>in which a gas is enclosed, and the first air chambers 1<SB>1</SB>and 1<SB>2</SB>and the second air chambers 2<SB>1</SB>and 2<SB>2</SB>are arranged to be confronted with each other. Also, the first and second cushioning devices 10<SB>1</SB>and 10<SB>2</SB>are equipped with first and second load transmitting members 3<SB>1</SB>and 3<SB>2</SB>. In this case, the first and second load transmitting members 3<SB>1</SB>and 3<SB>2</SB>are supported by the first air chambers 1<SB>1</SB>and 1<SB>2</SB>and the second air chambers 2<SB>1</SB>and 2<SB>2</SB>, and the load supporting area A1 of a section coming into contact with the first air chambers 1<SB>1</SB>and 1<SB>2</SB>is larger than the load supporting area A2 of a section coming into contact with the second air chambers 2<SB>1</SB>and 2<SB>2</SB>. Then, the first air chamber 1<SB>1</SB>of the first cushioning device 10<SB>1</SB>and the second air chamber 2<SB>2</SB>of the second cushioning device 10<SB>2</SB>are connected by a first communication passage 5<SB>1</SB>, and at the same time, the second air chamber 2<SB>1</SB>of the first cushioning device 10<SB>1</SB>and the first air chamber 1<SB>2</SB>of the second cushioning device 10<SB>2</SB>are connected by a second communication passage 5<SB>2</SB>.
