PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic member which has high mechanical durability and is thin/lightweight. SOLUTION: A peripheral part of an insulating substrate as an electronic member is easy to break by being strained or coming into contact with other members, a rectangularly sectioned protrusion 12 which rises from a plate surface is therefore formed at at least a portion of a peripheral edge part. In the electronic member, an inner-periphery side corner part 12b and/or an outer-periphery side corner part 12a of the protrusion 12 is chamfered to be rounded to greatly improve bending rigidity while almost not spoiling lightweight/thin features.
