PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for measuring liquid developer concentration designed such that a liquid developer layer on the surface of a measuring roller is easily thinned, steady measurement of concentration is ensured for a long time, and a cost reduction is realized. SOLUTION: The device 110 includes: the measuring roller 111 rotated to scoop liquid developer 70 onto its surface; and a squeeze roller 112 disposed parallel to the measuring roller 111 with prescribed spacing left from the measuring roller 111, and rotated in a direction counter to the rotating direction of the measuring roller 111. An optical sensor 113 measures a liquid developer layer on the surface of the measuring roller 111, which is located downstream of a nip part N between both the rollers. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
