AUTOMATIC DOCUMENT FEEDER AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic document feeder capable of assuring seal impression quality that is uniform under any condition and environment and adaptive to needs of a user in the case of stamping a seal of "completed transmission" or "completed reading" on a document for image transmission or image forming. SOLUTION: The automatic document feeder is provided with a seal impression means and changes either or both of pressing force and pressing time of the seal impression means depending on the paper type of the document. Further, the automatic document feeder adjusts the seal impression quality by changing the pressing force of the seal impression means in accordance with an environmental condition wherein the document is placed or the number of seal impression times. Further, the automatic document feeder is provided with a plurality of seal impression means with different ink concentrations and selects any one of the seal impression means depending on the paper type of the document, the environmental condition or the seal impression condition or the like.
