PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe fitting with a lock ring allowing a pipe to be smoothly inserted therein by sufficiently reducing a resistance when the pipe is inserted therein. SOLUTION: This pipe joint comprises an outer cylinder part forming a pipe insertion space therein and the lock ring 40 having a flat ring base part 72 continued in the circumferential direction and a plurality of claws 74 circumferentially formed along a ring base part 72 in such a state that is projected aslant from the ring base part 72 radially inward in the pipe insertion direction and locking the pipe in a locked state by biting these claws 74 in the outer surface of the pipe. Only four slits 76 apart from each other in the circumferential direction among slits 76 between the claws 74 and 74 of the lock ring 40 are formed in deep slits 76A cut into the flat ring base part 72, and the remaining other slits are formed in shallow slits 76B not cut into the ring base part 72.
